Y11 - Y12 Transition Work & Enrolment

Following another year of fantastic A Level results, we are looking forwards to meeting our next generation of Harris Academy Riverside Sixth Form students on GCSE Results and Enrolment Day!

Sixth form enrolment will take place on Thursday 20th August between 9am and 4pm. All applicants who have submitted an application will have been emailed a timeslot in which to attend. You can arrive at Reception at any time during this timeslot.

You will need to bring with you:

  • A copy of your GCSE results
  • A proof of identity (birth certificate or passport)
  • A proof of address (this can be in your parent/guardian’s name)

The enrolment meeting will be a conversation with a member of the sixth form or senior leadership team, checking your results and allocating you onto your chosen courses, as well as having any discussions or providing advice about course changes.

If you are unable to attend an enrolment meeting, then we have a catch-up day on Friday 21st August where we are doing drop-in enrolment meetings from 9am until 1pm.

Alternatively, you can email (sixthform@harrisriverside.org.uk) us on this day to confirm your place if you won’t be in the country for the meeting.

If you do not meet the entry requirements for your desired course and would still like to study with us, please attend an enrolment meeting and we can put you on the waitlist and/or discuss alternative options.

Transition Work

Teachers have prepared transition work for each of your chosen A Level subjects. This work allows you to practice key grade 8 and 9 content from GCSE to prepare you to start your subjects in September. All students should bring their completed transition work with them on your first week of lessons in September so that teachers can check it has been completed. Please only complete the transition work for the subjects you are planning on taking at A level.

Paper copies of this work will be available for you to collect on GCSE results day when you attend your enrolment meeting.
