Mrs Appleton-White is Vice Principal at Harris Academy Riverside and has been at the Academy since it opened in 2017. She graduated from Brunel University with a BSc in Sports Science before completing an MA in Advanced Educational Research at UCL's Institute of Education.
Mrs Appleton-White began her career at Harris Academy Chafford Hundred and has remained dedicated to the Harris Federation throughout her career. At Harris Academy Riverside, she has played a key role in fostering a culture of high expectations, inclusion, and achievement for all students.
A qualified SENCo, Mrs Appleton-White is passionate about inclusive education and committed to ensuring every student, particularly those who are disadvantaged, are fully supported to succeed. She has completed the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) and brings a strong, research-informed approach to leadership and school improvement.
Mrs Appleton-White has longstanding links to the local community and continues to play hockey for Thurrock, reflecting her strong connection to the area she proudly serves.
