The idea that anyone could criticise a young man who is essentially the same age as our y13s is appalling. A straight ‘A’ student, super talented and brave enough to step up. His team have shown the best of the country in the last month. We need to follow their example. https://t.co/pv2p0s9wTz

A PE teacher made the BEST point the other day - that they hate it when a ban of PE is used a punishment, PE is curriculum! You don’t see them going round banning English! “Right that’s it! NO READING TODAY” 🙄🤣 I agree! PE should not be banned EVER!!

Shoes

Unfortunately, shoe retailers’ opinions and marketing about what is an acceptable school shoe differs from the opinions of many schools and academies. In particular, many shoes sold by retailers as ‘suitable for school’ are really, in our opinion, trainers.

Uniform is very important to the academy and its students and parents or carers should ask if in any doubt as to what is acceptable.

The procedures and standards for shoes are in line with our standards and procedures for uniform. Please see above for procedures in the event of a student wearing uniform incompatible with our policy.

Shoe policy in summary

·         No SPORTS branded footwear

·         No boots above the ankle

·         Shoes must be black

·         No gold, metallic trimmings.
