At Harris Academy Riverside the key stage 3 curriculum (years 7 to 9) should provide the knowledge, skills and attitudes which best prepare students not only for their later academic years but also for success in adult years including career and wider lives.
Our aims for Key Stage 3 are to provide students with the emotional space and cognitive momentum to thrive at Key stage 4 and beyond.
Our educational experience consists of our 4 Riverside Curricula which work together to provide The Harris Academy Riverside education
- The traditional curriculum - the subject lessons (curriculum overview)
- The scholarship curriculum - which substantially supports the traditional curriculum
- The wider curriculum - which provides valuable experiences and activities in order to contribute to a student's wider development
- The pastoral curriculum - which teaches students behaviours for success
Any understanding of The Harris Riverside Educational experience must include an understanding of each of these curricula and how they work together.
