Student Welfare

The Academy has a range of policies and procedures in place that ensure the welfare of all of our students. Several of these policies set out expectations about good behaviour, ensuring that everyone feels safe and can learn.

Pupil Premium Statement and Strategy Review

The academy receives some special funds based on the number of students it has on roll who are eligible for pupil premium funding. The academy has a strategy to help overcome the typical challenges such students face in the areas of, for example, reading, progress in learning, attendance and behaviour. The strategy the academy follows is set out in the Pupil Premium Statement which can be found below. The academy Principal is required to discuss the strategy and its impact on students at every Governor meeting. The academy therefore reviews the effectiveness of its pupil premium strategy before each Governor Meeting. The strategy was last reviewed in September 2021. The date of the next internal pupil premium strategy review is Novermber 2021.
